Still alive and very much kicking...

HELLO...We're here and we're still alive...it's been a long time i understand and I'm sorry. BUT...we're back with an update and what a super long update we have. I have lots of pictures too so I'm sorry to bore you in advance. But I happen to think my life is pretty good and my son is pretty cute and my friends are pretty cool and so I think its only fair to share them all with you. SO...here goes...my spring and summer so far in no particular order :)

Centre Parcs: May
OK so we decided to book a cheap(ish) last minute holiday to our local centre PARCs and we had such an amazing time. We discovered that Joshua was..and still is a little water baby and he loved spending time both in the pool inside and outside. It was a lot of fun. He also had his first taste of ice cream at the make your own ice cream bar...one of those posh ones which is all done on an ice slabs. Joshy loved it. As did all of us grown ups too :) So our holiday was full of hot chocolate, tennis, aqua aerobics, shooting laser stuff, pottery fun and lots of walking, eating and swimming! All in all a recipe for a great week! We loved it and had a serious case of the holiday blues when we returned :) Here's a pic of us all at the ice cream parlour :)

Garden Fun:
With all the nice weather it was only fair that we kitted out the garden with lots of fun things for both adults and children alike. SO, with the help of Nana, Grandad, eBay and free cycle, we now own a swing, a sand pit, a water pit, a ball pit and a BBQ. Yes..all that equals lots of fun and frolics. We've cheered on (and mourned) the world cup, we're taught Americans how to play football, we cooked a lot of chickens and cows and we have joined in with the water play. Joshy also went to his first birthday party. It was his friend Toby's 3rd birthday and we all played in the garden whilst mummy ate his his portion of the cake...only fair i think! Here he is, doing what he does best in the garden...

And here is Toby's mummy Helen...one of my bestest friends EVER!! We love going to Salisbury to visit them!
And below...although it looks scary i was very much in control...but for those who judge others parenting look away now....Joshys favourite game...CATCH!
He seriously loves to have rough and tumble play and we love the giggles that come out when we do it :) I promise to be more responsible in the future!! in case you feel the need though, child lines number is 0800 11 11 ...or at least it was when i was a kid :) J/k
Hen night and dressing up:
OK so our friend Ruth is getting married this sat to the lovely Alex. And so she had her hen do on Friday and we all got the chance to eat in fancy dress...which let me tell you is very entertaining in itself, let alone when its an all you can eat restaurant and you have very baggy trousers hiding PJ bottoms which ultimately make you so comfy that you eat waaaaay more than you usually would. Bring on fancy dress then huh!! So, here are Penny and I as...you guessed it...who ya gonna call...

'GHOSTBUSTERS'

Girlie camp time:
OK so us girlie's decided i was time we took a break from the craziness of mummy hood and we went away fro a one night camp. We loved it, the boys had fun looking after the babes and we all had a blast!! It involved beaches, food, speedboats, more food, lots of jumping, food, late night cheekiness, food, singing popular extremely loud, food, splashing in the sea, weeing pants...oh, and food! Lots of fun!

bring on next summer when more holidays can take place!! The boat ahead by the way was a white knuckle boat ride on the ocean. We screamed a lot and yet all agreed that it was just what we needed to wash all our cares away! we loved it!
Joshy in general:
OK so people keep asking how the little man is doing...and the answer is great! We are starting o really enjoy him now. It was super hard at the beginning but he is a little love and has a proper little character taking place. He loves himself a lot...hence this...

...being one of his favourite things to do... He is looking so much like his daddy now and it is super cute to see them together. As mentioned above, he is also a little water baby, even the bath makes his day more fun...

He is also eating a lot better now and thankfully likes mummy's home made food...whoop whoop, it's a miracle as I'm a terrible cook :) Here he is learning to feed himself...we sit for an hour with food sometimes, i love watching him and playing whilst he practices
About two minutes later he discovered the right end of the spoon :)
Right...well there is more but as this keeps crashing its taken 2 hours to do all this. So, next time, whenever it will be, we will fill you in on more of the Paterson life :)
Hope your all having a lovely summer xxx
