Who do you think you are?

We live in a day and age where it is becoming a growing hobby and pass time for people to find out more about who they are. There are libraries and websites and books dedicated to supporting you in finding out information about relations that have gone before us, and before them and way back to however far you want to go. There are TV shows that travel the world digging out information, surprising guests and filling lives with a wonderful history of who went before them. Yet I'm still left wondering if any of these people ever really just stopped and tried to answer the question 'who do YOU think you are?'.
I absolutely agree that the past helps to shape us and make us part of who we claim to be. But I absolutely disagree with the notion that it has to affect who WE think we are.
Who we are, affects how we think, how we act and the things that we accomplish. But who we are doesn't have to be made from someone else's thoughts, someone else's actions or someone else's accomplishments. That part is up to us!
So I ask again... who do you think you are?! What do you want to accomplish? What do you want to believe? What do you want to be remembered for? Because it doesn't matter about what anyone else thinks, it's your responsibility to make the difference. Which is much easier said than done.
I have a formula that might help.
A+B =C
Attitude + Behaviour = Change.
Did you know that when your attitude towards something changes, your behaviour changes too. Most of the time, it happens without you even recognising it. That's when the good things start to happen. When the dreams start to come true. When the change in heart/thought/action...whatever you need...takes place.
By no means does that mean its easy...let's face it, a positive attitude is not always at the forefront of our minds. But it is possible, and I guarantee it holds positive results.
If you know who you are, and you know what you want to do, there is absolutely no stopping you.
And that means that a history of royalty, poverty, battles or drunk Irish folk, will make absolutely no difference to who you will be.
Because who you will be tomorrow, depends completely on who you think you are today!
So...who do you think you are!

Absolutely, you are what you want to be, really want to be not just a maybe, but it takes work and effort and if it doesn't happen immediately then keep on trying.
